<p>What does it mean to spend time before the Lord? We know he&#8217;s omnipresent&#8230; so what does it meant to go before the Lord as if we need to go somewhere? I expand more on my thoughts on this in this video as well as share my own habits and experience.</p>

<p>This is probably one of my better known songs and one of my favorites to sing through the years. I wrote it in the late seventies and while most of my songs to that point had been stories and testimonies, this is the first song I wrote to God. Today we would classify it as contemporary praise and worship which wasn&#8217;t a &#8216;thing&#8217; back that time.</p>

<p>Digging back into the archives &#8211; a lot of fun contributing Feet On The Ground from the Good News Blues album to the Nashville Homecoming video project by Bill and Gloria Gaither. Features a great acoustic guitar solo, too!</p>

<p>I remember one of my very best friends came up to the day after I&#8217;d given my life to Jesus, he was actually the drummer in the band were playing with at the time, and said, “we have some dates in Iowa we’re supposed to play, is that going to work out?” I said, “Well, it’s really not.” He looked at me and said, “Oh why, what&#8217;s wrong?” I told him I gave my life to Jesus. He just looked at me, incredibly puzzled.</p>

<p>God does have a calling on your life. The great architect of the universe sat down at his drafting table, cleared it all of, grabbed his drafting tools and designed a plan for your life unlike anyone else he has ever thought about and he has not changed your mind.</p>
